Miss Vierno was my third grade teacher 1992/ 93. She was an amazing teacher, and made me love school. I remember her taking us on trips all over the world with our handmade passports. It is because of her that I fell in love with so many different cultures and went on to study Art History in college. I was lucky enough to see her about two yrs ago almost 20 yrs since she taught me, I wish I had told her then what she had meant to me and my family who have all been touched by her. Thank you for making me the woman that I am today. I know that god has a bigger plan for you but I am sorry that he has chosen such a young angel to fulfill it. May you rest in peace <3

I co-taught with Stephanie for many years at PS 41 and enjoyed every moment of our professional development together. She was one of the most organized, inspirational and brilliant teachers I have ever had the pleasure to work alongside. Truly, her love of teaching, devotion to Ďher childrení, and loyalty to her friends, shined from within her heart, and radiated out through her contagious smile, and twinkling eyes. I looked up to Stephanie like a big sister. Her enthusiasm and dedication to all she embraced defined her charismatic personality and warm spiritual character. Undoubtedly, Godís precious children are at heavenís gates flocking all around her. I pray her family and friends are comforted knowing she is at peace, and free of any human suffering. We will all miss her terribly, but we are eternally blessed for having known her.

I am deeply sorry for your loss. I remember Stephanie when she first came to PS 41 as a new teacher so filled with excitement and happiness starting on her life's journey. She touched the hearts of so many people but her greatest legacy is the lives of all the children she taught giving them a love of knowledge. When I retired from the PS 41 Library position, I was delighted to hear that Stephanie would take over. I could not have asked for a better person. She was a one-of-a kind and the world was a better place with her in it.

Dear Mrs. Vierno, George, Laurie & the Girls:

I am truly saddened by Stephanie's death. I never thought of her as a friend, but rather as a sister. I loved her as much as I love my own sister. As a matter of fact she knows me better than my own sister.

Her passing will not only leave a huge void in my life, but also in my heart.

If there is anything that I can do to help you sort things out in anyway, please do not hesitate to call at anytime. I am always here for you at a moment's notice.

My sincere thoughts and prayers are with you.

With deepest sympathy,
John Torres

Stephanie A. Vierno used to be my teacher a couple of years ago. I had her for all my years while attending PS41. She was the best teacher in the whole school. She brightened up the day and always made things fun. She was one of the only reasons I wanted to attend school and she was the one thing that everyone would look forward too. May she rest in piece, We will all miss you.
