Stephen Spinelli

Stephen Spinelli, 77, passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2020. Beloved husband of Gail. Devoted Father and step Father of; Kimberely Spinelli, Teena O'Connell, Randy Franza and Robyn Franza. Dear Father-In-Law of; Lauren and Brahm. Cherished grandfather to; Jacinda, Rocco, Giselle, Antonio, Haven and Sean. Dear Brother of Margaret and Seraphina. Steve will be fondly remembered by those that love him as an amazing man with an amazing amount of strength. A man who did not believe in giving up, and never took no for an answer.

Steve was extremely patriotic. He loved his career with the NYPD and was proud to have served in the USMC.  He was a graduate of St Francis and Baruch College, receiving degrees from both. With these given tools he was a distinguished speaker that led him to becoming The Founding Father of NYCPD 10-13 Association representing thousands of retired and active officers of all ranks.

Steve enjoyed many hobbies, particularly antiquing. His favorite collections were his tin wind up toys, his Brooklyn Dodger Memorabilia , and his extensive collection of NYC police badges with their history.

Funeral is from Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home Tuesday 9:15 a.m., with 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St.Thomas RC Church. Friends & family may visit Monday from 2-5, 7-9 p.m.
