Retired NYPD and US marshal
Alfred J. Barberi, 88 of Huguenot, Staten Island, N.Y., passed away on Dec. 13, 2018.
He was born in Brooklyn and was retired from the NYPD. Upon retiring from NYPD, he was a US marshal. He was acive in American Legion, Knights of Columbus, Holy Name Society, and the Columbia Association of NYPD.
He enjoyed carpentry, fishing, outdoors, and spending time with family and children.
Alfred was predeceased in 1997 by his wife of 43 years, Joan. He is survived by his children, Alfred (Nancy), Susan, Patricia Cator (Karl), Nancy, Rosanne; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral is from Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home on Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be at Our Lady Help of Christian's RC Church at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, CT. Friends may visit Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m
