Angela Vella, affectionately known to her family as Lina, passed away on December 29, 2025, at the age of 91. Born on October 11, 1934, in Sicily, Italy, Angela lived a life that was marked by love, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to her family.
Family was the cornerstone of Angela's existence. She was a self-sacrificing matriarch who always placed her loved ones at the forefront of her priorities. Angela’s legacy includes three beloved children, four cherished grandchildren, and four adored great-grandchildren. Her impact on their lives will be felt for generations, as she instilled values of compassion, resilience, and devotion.
After moving to Cleveland, Ohio, Angela embarked on a remarkable professional journey. For thirty years, she owned and operated a bridal shop, where she became a fixture in the community. Her passion for her work was evident; she found joy in helping couples prepare for one of the most significant days of their lives. Angela's talent and creativity flourished through her business, as did her joy in meeting new people and forming lasting friendships.
An avid cook, Angela took great pleasure in the art of entertaining, relishing the opportunity to gather her family around the table. Her culinary creations were celebrated during cherished family gatherings, where laughter and stories were shared, and memories were made. She took pride in nurturing those she loved, creating an atmosphere of warmth and affection that will forever be missed.
Angela leaves behind an immense void in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her. Her spirit, characterized by kindness and love, will continue to resonate within her family. She will be greatly missed, and her memory will be honored through the stories and traditions she imparted to future generations.
Visitation for Angela Vella will be held on January 2, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Bedell Pizzo Funeral Home located at 7447 Amboy Rd, Staten Island, NY 10307. A Mass in her memory will take place on January 3, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Our Lady Star of the Sea RC Church, situated at 5371 Amboy Rd, Staten Island, NY 10312.
