Angelina Boccanfuso

Angelina Boccanfuso, 89, a homemaker who enjoyed doting on her grandchildren, died Wednesday in Eger Health Care and Rehabilitation Center, Egbertville, where she had been a patient for three weeks.

She was born Angelina Pitochelli in Providence, R.I., and graduated from Providence High School in 1944.

Mrs. Boccanfuso lived in Brooklyn before moving to Rossville in 2001.

She enjoyed cooking and playing scratch-off lottery tickets.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Anthony Boccanfuso, in 2000, and by her son, Joseph, in November.

She is survived by her sons, Paul and Vincent; her brother, John Pitochelli, and five grandchildren.

The funeral service will be Friday at 10:45 a.m. in the Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home, Tottenville. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Pleasant Plains.
