Angelo Iadanza

Angelo Iadanza,89, passed away at home on September 14, 2022.

Angelo was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York and moved to Staten Island Five years ago. He was a proud veteran who served in the United States Air Force before joining the NYC Sanitation Department working as a Sanitation man and then later becoming part of the NYC Sanitation Police.

Angelo was extremely talented and had gifted hands for the ability to fix anything. He enjoyed going to Turning Stone Casino, going to the racetrack to watch the horses. He enjoyed telling jokes and hanging out at the VFW. Angelo’s lifelong passion was being a hockey coach and played a vital part in building Abe Stark Ice Rink in Brooklyn, NY and holding the first hockey clinic there for the youth of NYC.

Angelo is survived by his children Joanne McNamara, Debra Baktis (Eddie), Michael Iadanza, Phyllis Maddaloni-Gomez ( John), Theresa Martellaro ( Peter), Thomas Iadanza (Gina), and Robert Iadanza (Lisa).

Grandfather to Kelli Ann McNamara, John McNamara, Nikki Iadanza, Phillip Maddaloni, Kimberly Baktis, Dena Iadanza, Alexandra Gomez, Jenna Iadanza, Jaime Iadanza, Jenna Iadanza, Samantha Martellaro, Ava Iadanza, Thomas Iadanza.

Great Grandfather to Peter Giambrone, Brianne Giambrone, Kennedy Grimando, Brody McNamara, Luka Wilkins.

A very special thank you to Fredrick his caretaker who was there for him everyday and made sure he was very well taken care of, we will be forever grateful. Angelo’s Heart was also with his loving dog Taz who went everywhere with him and was always by his side.
