AnnaMarie "Ann" Ciarcia , 89 , a beloved mother , grandmother and great-grandmother passed away peacefully on Wednesday , April 15 ,2020 at Eger Nursing Home , where she resided for the past few months.
She was born AnnaMarie Papa in 1930 , to Nicholas & Josephine in Brooklyn . She married Oriente "Larry " Ciarcia in 1950 and eventually settled in the town of Great Kills in Staten Island . They were happily married for 49 years until his passing in 1999 . She was a long time parishioner of St. Clare R.C. Church. Ann enjoyed playing cards and trips to Atlantic City . Most of all , she loved being around her family .
Ann is survived by her four children , Elise Scheuerman (Buddy ), Joanne Keenan , Larry Ciarcia (Joanne ) ,and Nicholas Ciarcia ( Nivia ). She had six grandchildren , Kevin Scheuerman (Dina) , Vincent Keenan ( Lisa ) ,Jesse Keenan ( Alexis ) , Michael Ciarcia ( Ashley ) , Jenna DiCarlo ( Michael ) , Robert Ciarcia ( Christina ) and 10 great- grandchildren , Nicholas , Christopher , Gregory & Amanda Scheuerman , Cali & Jason Keenan , Demi , Jada & Michael DiCarlo and Damian Ciarcia . She was predeceased by her sister Millie DeVito. Her family also includes her loving nieces and nephews . She was proud of her family , and especially treasured her grandchildren & great-grandchildren.
A private viewing will be held on Monday , April 20 from 1:00-3:00 pm at Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery on Tuesday, April 21st at 9:30 AM. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
