Anthony M. Pelle, Jr.

Anthony M. Pelle Jr., 56, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2026, following a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Manhattan, Anthony moved to Staten Island with his family as a young child, where he was raised and built the foundation for a life defined by hard work, dedication, and compassion. He graduated from Tottenville High School before attending the NYC District Council of Carpenters Technical College. He went on to enjoy a long and rewarding career as a union carpenter, retiring with pride as a member of Carpenters Local 157.

Anthony was a devoted husband, loving father, cherished son, brother, uncle, and loyal friend. He is survived by his beloved wife, Maureen; his children, Giavanna and Joseph; his mother, Carmela Pelle; his brother, Michael Pelle (Joyce); and his sister, Adele Streett (Mike), nieces and  a nephew. He was predeceased by his father, Anthony Pelle Sr.

Family was the center of Anthony's life. He found his greatest happiness in spending time with those he loved and had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel welcome. A proud member of the Great Kills Yacht Club, he formed lifelong friendships that he treasured deeply. Whether preparing a meal for family and friends or hosting a gathering, Anthony's warmth, generosity, and love of bringing people together created countless memories that will be cherished forever.

Anthony was also a passionate music lover whose tastes ranged from classic rock and freestyle to bluegrass. He rarely missed the chance to attend a live concert. His love of classic American automobiles was equally well known, and he took great pride in his meticulously restored 1967 and 1968 Ford Mustangs, which reflected both his craftsmanship and his appreciation for timeless design.

Throughout his illness, Anthony met every challenge with extraordinary courage, unwavering determination, and quiet grace. He refused to let his diagnosis define him, choosing instead to live each day with dignity, optimism, and an enduring love for his family and friends. His resilience and positive spirit inspired everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Anthony will be remembered for his strength, generosity, kind heart, infectious smile, and unwavering loyalty. Above all, he will be remembered for the love he gave so freely to his family and friends. Although he will be profoundly missed, his legacy will live on in the countless lives he touched and in the treasured memories shared by all who knew and loved him.

His life was a testament to love, perseverance, and unwavering devotion to family and friends—a life beautifully lived and a legacy that will never be forgotten. A husband, father and son deeply loved.
