In Loving Memory of Barbara Joan DiMattina (née Bello)
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Barbara DiMattina (née Bello), a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and family matriarch.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Barbara was one of 8 children and grew up surrounded by the love, laughter, and strength of her 8 siblings, values she carried with her throughout her life. Barbara was married to her childhood sweetheart and the love of her life, Frank DiMattina, sharing a beautiful journey built on devotion, family, and unwavering commitment. Together they built an amazing family business and life.
She leaves behind her devoted sons, Mark and Frank; her daughters-in-law, Marie-Elaina and Dawn; and her five beloved grandchildren, who were among her greatest joys and proudest accomplishments.
Her family was the center of her world. Barbara was an extraordinary cook whose kitchen was the heart of every gathering., She expressed her love through food, Alongside her family, she was the proud owner of Mark Frank’s Restaurant on Wall Street. Beyond her love of cooking, Barbara found joy in antiques and crafts. Though our hearts are broken by our loss, we take comfort in knowing that her spirit lives on through her family, the traditions she created, the amazing family recipes and the countless lives she touched.
Barbara will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished
