Blanche M. Tait

Blanche Tait, age 84, formerly of Jackson Heights and Staten Island, passed away on Thursday, November 6, 2025. Born on June 29, 1941, Blanche was known for her warmth, humor, generosity, and the undeniably loving spirit she brought into the world. She was a devoted mother, a loving grandmother, and a cherished friend to all who knew her.

Blanche’s greatest happiness came from being with her family. She was the cornerstone of her family, a source of endless love and strength, and she will be profoundly missed.

Blanche will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Dennis, her beloved children, Dennis and his wife Maria, Karen, Matthew and his wife April, Jill and her former husband Delfin. Her legacy of love and strength will live on through her cherished grandchildren: Angelica, Riley, Skyla and Lucas. She is joined in rest by her mother, Helen “Blanche” McCaul, her father, Eugene B. McCaul, her sister, Eileen and her husband Herman, her brother Philip, and her brother Eugene and his wife Margaret. With a large family consisting of both blood ties and bonds formed from the heart, Blanche’s reach was wide, and she was cherished deeply by many.

Among Blanche’s most significant accomplishments was raising her four children, whom she held as her pride and joy, and spending time with her grandchildren. Blanche was a NYC Teacher for more than 30 years and was recognized for her unwavering commitment to her students, and her willingness to extend a helping hand to anyone in need.

Blanche’s loss is deeply felt by her family and all those who knew and loved her. Her memory will continue to live on and inspire strength, resilience, and generosity in those whose lives she touched.

A viewing for Blanche will take place on Tuesday, November 11th from 3:00PM-7:00PM at Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home, 7447 Amboy Road,

Staten Island, NY 10307. A mass will be held at Church of St. Thomas, 6097 Amboy Road, Staten Island, NY 10309 on Wednesday, November 12th at 10:30AM.
