Catherine Galluzzo

Catherine Galluzzo, 46, passed away in her New Springville home, surrounded by her family, after battling cancer, on June 17, 2016.
Catherine was born on Feb. 4, 1970, in Brooklyn, N.Y., where she grew up with her three sisters, Lisa, Rachel and Michelle. She moved to Staten Island in 2000 with her son, Jacob, and in 2011 she was married to Anthony Galluzzo, her loving husband.
Catherine was a long-time employee in multiple Key Food locations in Brooklyn and Staten Island, where she managed a large number of employees.
Catherine was a genuine person who always put everyone else's needs before her own. She loved to shop. Most importantly, her favorite thing to do was to spend time with her granddaughter, Angelina Rae. To know Catherine was to love her.
She is survived by her husband, son, granddaughter, mother-in-law, three sisters, three sisters-in-law, four brothers-in-law, 19 nieces and nephews, and countless cousins.
Services will be held in her honor today, Monday, June 20, 2016, at Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 21, 2016, at St. Patrick Church in Richmondtown.
