Catherine Theresa Riley, 70
Staten Island resident for 50 years; funeral is on Friday
Catherine Theresa Riley (nee Mangan), 70, passed away on March 5, 2019, peacefully at home after a long battle with dementia.
Catherine was born in the Bronx, then moved to Staten Island 50 years ago. She graduated from St. Jean's Baptiste High School, and worked for Verizon customer service, retiring in 2007. She enjoyed reading, singing, and spending time with her family.
She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas E. Riley, on March 31, 2011. Catherine is survived by her children, Thomas Joseph (Lillian), James Edward and John Michael (Jacqueline), and her grandchildren, Charlotte, Chelsea, and Siobhan.
A funeral service will be held at Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home on Friday at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
