Christine Marie Dahlstrom, was senselessly killed in a hit-and-run car accident Saturday April 25th. Born on the fourth of July 1987, she was truly the firework of her family. A Tottenville girl Christine attended P.S.1, I.S.34 and Tottenville H.S. Christine loved to play basketball as a child and played CYO for OLHC and Tottenville H.S. She loved and excelled at the game. Christine was employed at Specs For Less as a sales specialist and loved to help people look and feel their best. Her main love and devotion was to her two daughters Chloe and Capri, always wanting them to be happy, safe, and most especially loved. Seeing them in their school programs and shows always made her so proud. Along with her two daughters, she always looked forward to playing and spending time with her niece Madison. Christine always lit up a room wherever she went. She was not a quiet person by any means. You knew Christine arrived when you heard her boisterous,” Hello Doll/Hello Gorgeous” saw her beautiful smile, followed by a big hug, and kisses. Dinners and family gatherings, where she would bring her “famous” mac n’ cheese, always lead to lots of laughter and fond memories. Christine always found a way to be the life of the party. The lives of her family will never ever be the same. Our hearts are forever broken and no amount of time will ever heal these wounds.

Christine is predeceased by her devoted Grandmother Helen “GiGi” Sypniewski and her grandparents Jeanne and Sven Dahlstrom. Christine is survived by her beautiful daughters Chloe and Capri, her parents Steven, a retired member of the FDNY , and her mother Theresa Dahlstrom(Sypniewski), her sister Melissa Dahlstrom a nurse/EMT, her brother Steven Dahlstrom a NYS correction officer, her niece Madison Dahlstrom, many aunts and uncles, and cousins and friends. Christine touched so many lives in so many ways, the entire community is mourning her tragic loss.

Christine may be gone, but we will always have a piece of her within her children.

Friends may visit on sunday from 2-5 at Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home.
