Concetta Miele

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Concetta Miele, who passed away peacefully on June 5, 2025 at the age of 91.

Born on July 31, 1933 in Brooklyn, New York to her parents Rosario and Rosalie Ragusa, Concetta lived a life full of grace, strength, and compassion. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, she touched the lives of all who knew her with her honesty, tenacious spirit and unwavering love for her family.

Concetta is predeceased by her loving husband Rocco and is survived by her beloved children Vincent, and his wife Mary, Ronald, and his wife Dina, and Kristine, and her husband Jimmy Bross, her beloved sister Rita, and her loving partner James Trezza.

She was a proud and cherished grandmother to Stephanie, Vincent, and his wife Jazmin, Nicholas, Brandon Miele, and his wife Michelle, Brittany and Brandon Bross, and great grandmother to Hannah and Miles.

Concetta, who was affectionally known as Tina, as well as GiGi to her great-grandchildren, was an early example of the modern-day working mother, raising her family while working outside the home, initially alongside her husband, then as a stenographer with lightning-speed typing skills, and finally as a paralegal for over 20 years with the NYC Economic Development Corporation.

She enjoyed cooking for her family and became known for her famous eggplant, zucchini pie and sausage rolls. Her legacy of love for family will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her and her presence will be deeply missed.
