Dennis Lyons

Dennis John Lyons, 68, of Staten Island, NY, sadly passed away on October 6, 2022. He is a graduate of New Dorp High School and The College of Staten Island.
An avid outdoorsman, he spent many weekends fishing and hunting with his friends and family. He enjoyed playing baseball and football, and for many years played softball for the Pelican Club, where he was an active member. When he wasn't playing, he would be watching his favorite teams, the New York Mets and the New York Jets.
He enjoyed spending a sunny day betting the ponies at Saratoga and Monmouth Racetracks with his family and friends. Ever the entertainer, he would often organize celebrations just to bring together all of the people he loved.
Dennis is survived by his wife Christine, their daughters Deanna (Aaron) Sovern, Cassandra (Kevin) Harrison, Angelica Lyons, and Marissa (Ryan) DiMeglio; their grandchildren Arianna, Damian, Kieran, Chiara, Zoey, and Isabella; his sister Deborah Lyons; and his Aunts, Uncles, and cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents Francis and Lorraine, whom he loved and missed very much.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 15, 2022 from 10am - 1pm at Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home with a Luncheon to follow from 1pm - 5pm at Zio Toto.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made to the American Heart Association.
