Dennis Massa

Dennis Massa passed away on September 23rd, 2025 after fighting a long battle with cancer. He will be remembered as a loving son, brother, and uncle who always gave 100% to everything he did.

Dennis was the beloved son of Maureen and Daniel Massa and brother of Deborah and her spouse Glenn Perroth, Doreen and her spouse Peter Traut, and Maria and her spouse Gabe Metzger. He was a proud uncle to eight nieces and nephews and a great-uncle to two great-nieces and one great-nephew, all of whom brought him pride. Family gatherings were special to Dennis, and he always found an occasion to host one.

Outside of family, Dennis found happiness in the simple pleasures of life. He had a lifelong love of boating, enjoying time on the water whenever he could. He took great pride in his work caring for the Great Kills Yacht Club as well as the coy pond in his neighbors yard. Gardening brought him great pride as he nurtured his vegetables among other things. He was also a natural tinkerer, often fixing, building, or improving things with patience and skill. He had many friends that were special to him and would go out of his way to help as best he could.

Though he will be deeply missed, Dennis’s memory will live on in the love of his family and the many lives he touched.

Visitation will be on Thursday, September 25, 2025 from 2-4 and 7-9PM at Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, September 26, 2025 at St. Thomas the Apostle RC Church.
