Domenico DeSantis

Domenico DeSantis passed away on January 26, 2024. He was born in Italy and was the fifth of six boys and one girl. Domenico went to school for only one day because he had to stop school and go to work to help his family. He didn't even have shoes until the age of 14, and he still went out to work. He met his beautiful wife Giulia and the couple married and stayed married for 64 years. They even renewed their wedding vows on their 50th anniversary. They had four children together, Elena, Saverio, Maria and Natalie. He came to America in 1971 with his wife and four little children with hardly anything and accomplished so much. After purchasing his own home, he went on to help all of his children with their homes, as well as his grandchildren. 

Domenico was one of the hardest workers and worked until he was 83 years old. He never missed a day of work  for any reason. Even during snow storms he would walk over 10 miles. He had such a giving personality, he would help anyone that needed it, and he never denied anyone in need. You could never say you wanted anything because he would run out to get it. He would do anything for his family, FAMILY WAS EVERYTHING TO HIM. When he wasn't working, he enjoyed gardening, planting and playing cards. The thing he loved the most was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. His grandchildren were the biggest joys of his life. He had 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and one more on the way. He will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved him.
