Dominick Colonna

Dominick Colonna, 96, passed away on May 7, 2017.
Born in Mola Di Bari, Italy, he moved to Brooklyn, then to Staten Island four years ago. He was a longshoreman for New York City Piers for 25-plus years
Dominick met and married his wife within four months - and it lasted for 66 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and also loved gardening.
He is survived by his wife, Catherine; his children, Nicholas ( Marie), Rosa Sekzer (the late Philip); his grandchildren, Nicole Colonna, Christine Moramarco, Melissa Kane, and Matthew and Michael Sekzer, and great-grandchildren, James, Noel, Noah and Patrick.
Funeral from Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home is on Friday at 9:15 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady Star of the Sea R.C. Church is at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Friends may visit Wednesday and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
