Donna Magrone
July 15, 1963 – September 22, 2025
Donna Magrone, a devoted mother, sister, niece, cousin, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2025, at the age of 62. Born in Brooklyn, New York, and raised in Staten Island, New York, Donna spent her life caring for others—with unwavering compassion and strength—as a Case Manager at Staten Island University Hospital.
Throughout her career, Donna was a fierce advocate for both her patients and her colleagues. She was actively involved in her union, always speaking up for those in need and championing better care and working conditions. Her kindness, resilience, and commitment left an indelible mark on countless lives both inside and outside the hospital.
Donna’s greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted mother to Vincent Lavin, who was her pride and joy, and a supportive mother-in-law to Lauren Megna. Donna was also so excited for her future grandchild.
She shared an unbreakable bond with her sister, Lori Iadisernia, and brother-in-law, Anthony Iadisernia, and was a cherished aunt to AJ, Jason, and Alex and their families. Donna held a special place in her heart for her cousin, Laura Pisano, who was more like a sister to her, and loved Laura’s children as her own. She was also the beloved niece of Marie Pancetti. Donna deeply cherished her many cousins that were always by her side.
Donna also loved spending time with her dear friends and coworkers, and especially enjoyed visiting alpacas, which brought her so much joy and laughter.
Donna was predeceased by her beloved mother, Dolores Magrone, her father, Sam Magrone, and her sister, Kim Magrone Courtney. Their memories remained forever close to her heart.
She will be remembered for her warmth, humor, and unwavering dedication to those she loved. Her legacy of love, kindness, and strength will continue to inspire all who had the privilege to know her.
