Retired mechanic loved sports and trips to Atlantic City
Edward Smith, 84, of Richmond Valley, passed away on April 12, 2019 at home, surrounded by family.
He grew up in Mount Loretto before joining the Navy for four years in 1950.
He then worked for Pathe Labs, where he processed motion pictures before moving on to Brooklyn Union Gas, where he worked as a mechanic until he retired in 1992.
He loved sports, specifically boxing, baseball and football, reading the sports section of the paper, taking trips to Atlantic City and traveling.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred; his son, Arthur Edward and husband Joseph, and three grandchildren, Carly, Jamie, and Tatum.
