Elizabeth Kuczera (Dreyer), 87, of Staten Island, passed away on March 2, 2020.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., Elizabeth was the daughter of the late Mary and Alfred Dreyer. She was formerly employed by New York Telephone Company as a financial officer. Elizabeth loved to cook and make new receipes, in fact, she preferred a good cookbook to a newspaper. She consistently provided great holiday meals for her entire family. Elizabeth also enjoyed walking and bike riding. She was an active member of the Church of the Holy Child. But of all these activities, her most precious was her role as wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Elizabeth is survived by her husband of 64 years, Edward P. Kuczera; her children, Karen Gilsenan (Brian), Edward J. Kuczera (Janeil), and Peter M. Kuczera (Melissa); grandchildren, Brian Gilsenan Jr., Timothy Gilsenan, Christopher Gilsenan, Peter Kuczera Jr, Michael Kuczera, John Kuczera, and Maxx Kuczera; four great grandchildren, and her brothers, Alfred J. Dreyer and Peter M. Dreyer. In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was predeceased by her brother, Waldemar Dreyer.
Friends may call at the Bedell Pizzo Funeral Home today, March 4, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday at the Church of the Holy Child, followed by burial at Resurrection Cemetery.
