Frank Paul Taormina, 75, of Woodrow, changed his address and went home to heaven to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Born in 1944 to Frank Taormina and Cora Taormina in Brooklyn, he graduated from Aviation High School, attended the Academy of Aeronautics and later on
in his life the Missionary Training institute of First Bible Church.

He worked on the NY waterfront for over 50 years.

Married for 54 years to the love of his life and best friend Joann Taormina. Frank and Joann have two children Frank Taormina jr. and his wife Evelyn. Cora Bollman and her husband Bob Bollman.

Blessed beyond measure with 8 beautiful grandchildren. Frank Paul Taormina, Robert Michael Bollman, Jonathan David Bollman, Joseph James Taormina, Matthew James Bollman, Bethany Rose Taormina, Sarah Lynn Bollman, Stephen Michael Taormina. Last but not least , and maybe his favorite, he loved Rumple his grandchildren's dog.

Frank was a true American patriot and spent 17 years in the world of politics. Holding many party offices and ran for public office three times - - State Senate, State Assembly, and Borough President of Brooklyn. During that time he also received many honors and awards, and held in high esteem by his peers. These were all great accomplishments but often stated that he was searching for something and politics was not the answer to his emptiness. In 1980 a dear friend of the family introduced him to Jesus Christ and told him how he must be born again. He thought that was nice, but considered himself a good, moral patriotic person. He never considered himself a sinner until he was shown in the Bible "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23

"There is none that doeth good, no not one."Romans 3:11

On September 12, 1982, Frank knelt down and accepted Jesus Christ into his heart as Lord and Savior of his life.

You Can be born again too, no matter how much of a sinner you think you are, or how much of a good person you think you are. The Bible says, "for the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23

Frank's searching had stopped and his emptiness has been filled.

He would often say "if you are searching for an answer, it's Jesus Christ my Lord and my God"

For 37 years he was a member of First Bible Church, in Pleasant Plains, where he faithfully served in many different positions. He was a Bible teacher, deacon, youth leader, and more recently he headed up the gospel printing ministry.

The print shop was perhaps his greatest joy as he was able to print material that went all over Staten Island and the world.

He was loved by everybody that knew him and he will be missed beyond measure!

Franks heart and soul was the ministry of First Bible Church:

In Lieu of flowers we are requesting that all donations be made to

If Frank could speak today he would tell you, "Don't leave this world without Jesus Christ!!!"

A celebration of his life will take place at a later date.
