George R. Lasky, Jr.

George Lasky, 80, was called home to God on May 19, 2026.

 A loving and devoted husband to Janet Lasky, beloved father to Jennifer and Michael and son-in-law Michael and daughter-in-law Amy. Loving and proud grandfather to Amanda, Alexandra, Michael, Emily, Jack, Thomas, Sophia and MJ. Survived by his grieving sister Diane Carr. Predeceased by his brothers Michael and Peter Lasky and parents Mary and George Lasky. Proud great-grandfather to Robert and Harper. Deeply missed by his nieces, nephews and lifelong friends.

Born & raised in Brooklyn, George proudly served his country as a Navy Veteran, carrying the values of dedication and honor throughout his life. He was a hard working man who built a distinguished career working on Wall Street. He was devoted to his family and worked hard to provide for his wife and children. As their children grew, they enjoyed trips to the Hamptons, attended hockey games, sporting events, and enjoyed dinners out as a family. He became a grandfather beginning in 1992. From then on he has basked in the joy of the role as “Gramps”, his greatest role yet. He loved his great-grandchildren, bringing smiles to his face until his very last day.

 He was an exceptional man whose absence will be felt by all he loved.
