Gladys Gattusso

November 20, 1924 — August 28, 2022

Gladys "Dotty" Gattuso went home to Jesus on Sunday, August 28, 2022, at the age of 97, in Bradenton, FL. Born in Manhattan to Anthony and Frances Natriano, she was one of five children. Gladys graduated Washington Irving High School and continued her education at Washington Irving Evening Trade School and satisfactorily completed the course in dressmaking. She later worked as a secretary for the CEO of General Foods prior to meeting her husband, Michael at a dance hall in Manhattan. Several years later, they married on October 6, 1956, and later settling in their home with their two children in Staten Island, New York. Gladys and Michael were married sixty-two years. Gladys was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Gattuso and daughter, Maria Gattuso. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Joseph, and Denise Gattuso; four grandchildren, Amy, Melinda, Joseph Jr. William, and their spouses; 14 great grandchildren and son-in-law, Daniel Sheehan.
Gladys spent her time enjoying her crafts, sewing, cooking, and spending time with her family. Gladys will be remembered for her sense of humor, her wittiness, her love for her husband and family, her love for animals and her delicious home cooked meals. She was deeply loved and will be missed. Until we meet again. Dotty will be laid to rest with her husband in Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery
