Grace Faith O'Keefe

Mrs. Grace Faith O’Keefe, age 81, passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2023. She was born on July 9, 1942 in Staten Island, New York to Percey Worth Hall and Lillian Payne Hall.

Born and raised in Tottenville, nee Grace Hall lived her entire life in Tottenville until her retirement to Maine in 2001. They then relocated to Forked River, New Jersey for several years, before moving to DeFuniak Springs, Florida. She attended PSI and THS. She volunteered her time as a Cub Scout Den Mother for Pack 21, served many positions with Southshore L.L. Auxiliary, as well as many positions for PSI PTA including President. Mrs. O’Keefe worked for S.I. Islander, Little Peoples World nursery school as a crossing guard and spent eight years as a teacher’s aide for Volunteers of America early learning center in Tottenville. She worked in childcare until her retirement. Many of her interests before the grandchildren came were square dancing for the “Ocean Waves”, ceramics, and traveling. Before her move, she was a member of Gateway Cathedral in Richmond Valley, New York where she also worked for the Gateway Academy for a short time and was also a member of First Assembly of God in Lewiston, Maine. Mrs. O’Keefe also volunteered her time transporting and saving Boxer dogs for various animal rescues throughout the years. She fostered and adopted several boxer dogs – her favorite breed of dogs. Her heart and life were her children and grandchildren, to include holiday meals, weekend barbecues, and all family events.

Mrs. O’Keefe was preceded in death by her father and mother; and one brother Robert Hall of Maine.

She is survived by her loving husband Albert O’Keefe; her six children Albert of New Jersey, Danny of Cobleshill, New York, Michael of Richmond Valley, New York, Colleen of DeFuniak Springs, Florida, Kathleen of Fords, New Jersey, and Dennis of New Jersey; and fourteen grandchildren.

A time of visitation will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 AM EST, Thursday, October 26, 2023 at Bedell Pizzo Funeral Home; 7447 Amboy Road, Staten Island, New York 10307.

Graveside Service will be held at 12:30 PM EST, Thursday, October 26, 2023 at St. John’s Cemetery in Queens, New York.
