IDA PIRO – 100 years old
Passed away peacefully at home on January 11th, 2019. Born in Brooklyn, NY and lived on Staten Island for the past 32 years with her daughter, Janet and son-in-law Jerry.
She was one of eight children, survived by her two sisters, Jennie LaBozzetta and Rosalie Diez. Loving wife of the late Frank Piro and loving mother to Janet Desposito (Jerry), Patricia Contessa (Vincent) and Frank Piro, Jr. (Patti Ann). Loving grandmother to Donna, Nicole, Michelle, Alexis, Frank III, Thomas and William. Great Grandmother to Damian, Alexander and Julian.
She was a member of the Mount Loretto Friendship Club and loved to go to Atlantic City, crochet, play cards and spend time with family and friends.
Funeral from Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home on Tuesday at 8:45am. A Mass of Christian Burial 9:30am at St. Thomas the Apostle R.C. Church. Interment GreenWood Cemetery
Friends may visit on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9
In lieu of flowers, donations in her name made to Addeo Hospice Residence, 78 Meisner Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10306, would be greatly appreciated.
