Janet DiDomenico, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2026, at the age of 86.
Janet was born on November 2, 1939, in Brooklyn, New York, to Andrew and Ester Bove. She was the sister of Andy and Tom, both of whom predeceased her.
Janet met the love of her life, Louis J. DiDomenico, when she was just 16 years old. Together, they built a beautiful life and raised their family. Louis predeceased her, and Janet carried the love and memories of their life together throughout her years.
She was a devoted mother to Debra DiDomenico, the late Anthony DiDomenico, Steven DiDomenico, and Louis DiDomenico and his wife, Lucille.
Her greatest joy was her family. Janet was a proud grandmother to Anthony, Louis, Nicholas, Grace, Gabrielle, Christina, Steven, Giovanna, Isabella, and Louis, and a loving great-grandmother to Eden, Madeline Jane, Aliva, Adria, Sophia Sky, and Chole Rose.
Janet spent her early years in Brooklyn and Long Island before making Staten Island her home for most of her life. Later, she moved to New Jersey, where she spent her final years surrounded by family.
Janet found happiness in the simple things in life. She loved her beloved dog, Princess, watching game shows, and, most of all, dancing. She had a love for life and a special way of bringing warmth and joy to the people around her.
Janet will be deeply missed by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her. Though she is no longer with us, the love she gave her family and the memories she created will remain with them forever.
She is now reunited with her beloved husband, Louis, her son Anthony, and her brothers, Andy and Tom
Rest peacefully, Mom. You will forever be loved, forever be missed, and forever be a part of our family.
