John Anthony Pelliccia Jr. passed away April 6, 2026, at the age of 59. Born on Staten Island, where he resided his whole life. John had a lot of interest in different genres of entertainment, such as heartfelt love songs and all music from the 1970s. He was excited to watch all kinds of horror movies, and had a large collection of them, but his all-time favorite was to watch the 1950’s TV show “I Love Lucy“ where he often quoted many funny lines from the show. He was proud of his collection of dvd movies, T-shirts, sweatshirts, and collectible “I Love Lucy” dolls. He also loved the movie Jaws and could talk about the scariest parts over and over.
John enjoyed going on annual family vacations to Sebastian, Florida, Lancaster, Pennsylvania and spent nearly 30 years in the Pocono Mountains every weekend.
John attended the Community Resources Day-hab where he had plenty of friends, some for nearly 45 years. John truly was the “Mayor of his own City” campaigning for conversations, hugs, friendships and loved to pick small flowers and giving them to his favorite ladies, addressing them as “darling”. He had an unbelievable memory for birthdays, anniversaries and appointments. He truly loved every family member in his own special way.
John will be missed by his parents, John Pelliccia Sr., Clarice Pelliccia-Grimes, And Kevin Grimes. He will also be missed by his siblings James Pelliccia , Laura Sconzo, brother-in-law, Guy Sconzo a niece Madison Sconzo, nephews Matthew and Guy Anthony Sconzo and a great nephew Grayson.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to Community Resources-Staten Island, in John's name would be appreciated. www.cr-si.org
