Jordan Silver of Tottenville, passed peacefully at home on December 9, 2022 at the age of 63 years old.
Jordan was born in Brooklyn, lived in Great Kills, and eventually settled in Tottenville in 1996 with his wife, Linda. He attended Tottenville High School and the College of Staten Island. Jordan began his career with NYPD in 1983. Jordan met his future wife, Linda Fischer, in Bay Ridge while at the 68th precinct in 1990. They were married at the Westbury Manor on June 26, 1994.
After twenty years of public service, Jordan retired from the job in 2003 and lovingly became a stay-at-home dad for his only daughter, Meagan. Jordan’s family was the most important part of his life. He was an incredible, devoted dad and a loving, dedicated husband. Together, father and daughter enjoyed frequent trips to Atlantic City, Monmouth Race Track, and Yankee Stadium. Jordan took pleasure in taking his family on cruise ships and to European countries.
Jordan was predeceased by his parents, Marlene and Alfred Silver.
His memorial will be at Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home, 7447 Amboy Road, on Sunday, December 18th from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jordan’s name to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, World Trade Center, or University Hospice.
