Joseph Brady

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. - Joseph Brady, 85, of Tottenville, a retired city Sanitation Department worker, died yesterday at home.

Born in Richmond Valley, he moved to Tottenville about 10 years ago.

A graduate of McKee High School, he worked for city Department of Sanitation at the Fresh Kills landfill for 23 years. He retired in the early 1970s.

Mr. Brady was a member of the Mount Loretto Friendship Club and enjoyed bowling, fishing, taking cruises and trips to Atlantic City.

He was a longtime parishioner of Our Lady Help of Christians R.C. Church, Tottenville.

Surviving are many nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be Wednesday from the Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home, Tottenville, with a mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady Help of Christians Church. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, West Brighton.
