Kathleen J Salvo (née Adams) passed away peacefully on September 14, 2025. She was 85 years old.

Born and raised in Queens, NY, Kathleen moved to Brooklyn in 1959 when she married the love of her life, Louis R Salvo (deceased).  She became a legal secretary, a job she loved and was able to perform until age 75, when Parkinson’s Disease disabled her.

Kathleen was a passionate NY Yankees fan. She was president of her local  AARP chapter in Dongan Hills for many years. She coached girls softball at Great Kills Little League, where she later became a director.

Kathleen loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren fiercely.

Kathleen is predeceased by her husband, Louis; her sister in law, Eileen Fanning; her niece, Lori McKinney ; and her nephew, Johnny Fanning.

Kathleen is survived by her four children, Jessica Longo (Anthony), Louis, Michael (Donna), Christopher (Gina); 8 grandchildren, Noelle Gryzbowski (Ernest), Haley, Mikey, AJ, Skyla, Nina, Christopher, and Charles; 2 great grandchildren, Enver and Eila Lou; and 2 nieces, Susan Davis and Barbara Fanning.

In lieu of flowers, family asks for donations to be made to The Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s disease, or Muscular Dystrophy Association.
