Linda Aue

March 14, 1967 — August 2, 2021

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts to announce the passing of Linda Marie Murphy Aue (age 54) loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, friend who died peacefully at her home on August 2, 2021 surrounded by loved ones after courageously battling cancer for many years.  Linda was born at Langley Air Force Base Hospital, Hampton, Virginia on March 14, 1967.  Linda later moved with her parents to Brooklyn and then to Staten Island.  She then met Frank (Chuck) Aue, her husband of 26 years, and resided in Oakwood Beach, Staten Island, her forever home.  Together they had two children Charles and Brian.

Linda began her nursing career at Carmel Richmond Nursing Home as a teenager, and worked as a nursing assistant at A Very Special Place for many years. While raising her two young children she attended Saint Vincent’s School of Nursing, earning her degree, and became a Registered Nurse .  She continued her nursing career for the last 15 years as a Case Manager for HealthFirst.  Most of her time was spent with her family and friends who she loved dearly.  In her free time she enjoyed singing and dancing, car rides, playing her favorite music, reading, and watching horror movies.  She had a love for gardening, which reflected the love she had for her children.  She was no stranger to the kitchen, and was known for cooking and baking for family, friends, and neighbors.

Linda is survived by her loving husband Frank C. Aue, her two sons Charles (CJ) Aue and Brian Aue; her father Michael J. Murphy and Stepmother Kathleen Murphy; her sister Christine Esposito, two brothers James D. Murphy and John E. Her step-sisters Meredith Danielle, Jeanine, and Jessica; her step-brothers Robert and Michael, as well as their spouses and children.  She is preceded in death by her mother Linda Turner Murphy, her brother Brian Michael Murphy.
