Linda Browne

October 1, 1956 — January 20, 2018

Linda L. Browne, 61
Talented poet and cherished aunt; native Staten Islander
Linda L. Browne, 61, of Lake Como, N.J., passed away at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune, N.J., on Jan. 20, 2018, after battling a long illness.
Linda was a native Staten Islander, born on Oct. 1, 1956, who had recently moved to New Jersey to be with her best friends, Susan and Beth.
She thoroughly enjoyed attending Hands for Christ Community Church in Princes Bay, and was loved by all who attended.
Linda devoted herself to her faith and expressed her love and admiration of her loved ones daily by either a phone call or a sweet text. Her favorite thing to do was to simply be surrounded by those she loved.
She was very talented at writing poems, but was rather shy about sharing her work. One would only receive a poem she wrote on the most special of occasions as a gesture of her love. Linda also enjoyed writing letters from Santa to her grand-nieces and -nephews, mostly to hear and see the excitement within them.
Her smile and her laugh were both infectious, but it was her warm, caring heart that was her most precious attribute. Linda once enjoyed cooking and spent a lot of time in the kitchen. Her recipes live on in her niece, Laurie Anne.
Linda was a caring sister to her brother, George Browne and his wife, Linda Mae, and her sister, Susan Six. She was a dear friend to her longtime group of girlfriends. She was a most cherished aunt to her nieces, Laurie Six, Lisa Six, and Jennifer Petersen, as well as her nephews, Thomas Six and John Gardner. She is also survived by her grandniece, Leah, and grand-nephew, Thomas.
Those that had the pleasure of knowing her were blessed. May she rest in the sweetest peace. We will all miss her dearly.
Memorial visitation will be held at Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home on Sunday, Jan. 28, 2018, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A memorial service will be held at Hands for Christ Community Church, 239 Seguine Ave., S.I., N.Y. 10309, on Saturday, Feb. 3, 2018, at 3 p.m.
