Linda Jean Hydo, 75, of Staten Island, NY, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. Born on April 13, 1950, in Tottenville, she lived a full and vibrant life filled with creativity, love, and unwavering support for those she cared about.

She is survived by her three daughters: Erin Schwendemann and her husband Brian, Megan Mahoney and her boyfriend Kevin Brennan, and Colleen Lucente and her husband Dominic; as well as her cherished grandchildren—Matthew, Addison, Taylor, and London—who brought endless joy to her life and were deeply loved by her.

She is also survived by her sister, Joann Hoagland, and her nephews David and Andrew.

Linda was a dedicated paraprofessional who worked for the New York City Department of Education for many years. She found purpose and joy in supporting students, bringing patience, compassion, and steady encouragement to every classroom she entered.

Linda had a deep love for animals and a lifelong passion for reading, crafting, and gardening. She especially treasured going to lunch with friends and sharing laughter and stories.

Her presence will be missed beyond words, but her love and strength will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
