Margaret Orrei (nee Vaccaro) 91, passed away peacefully in her sleep, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Born on July 17, 1934, in Brooklyn, New York, to Gaetano and Nancy Vaccaro, Margaret grew up surrounded by the warmth and closeness of her family. She was the beloved sister of Josephine, Marie and John.

In 1957, Margaret married the love of her life, Michael Orrei, and together they built a beautiful life and family. She was a devoted mother to Elizabeth (Brian), Vincent (Catherine) and Michael, a beloved Grandmother to Michael, Brianna and Jacquelyn (Joseph) and a Great Grandmother to Harper and Hunter, whose lives she filled with love, wisdom, laughter and joy.

A proud New Yorker and loyal Brooklyn Dodgers fan, Margaret brought her passion and spirit to everything she did. She loved traveling, playing Mahjong with friends, and spending time in her favorite place—Puerto Rico—where she felt most at peace.

Margaret will be remembered for her kindness, wit, laughter, sense of humor and her loyalty to her family. Her ability to strike up conversation with everyone and anyone she met and her memory will continue to inspire those who knew and loved her.

She will be deeply missed and will remain forever in our hearts.
