Maria Ruggeri

Maria was born in Sicily, loving and devoted wife to Salvatore, emigrating to America, a seamstress by trade and homemaker. Beloved and loving mother to John and Linda, Francesca, Ruggero and Grace, Carmela and Vinny. Adored Nonna by her grandchildren- John, Mark, Marissa, Jeanine, John, Adriana, Sabrina, Victoria, and Vincent, and blessed with ten great-grandchildren. Maria loved sewing and made all her own clothing, home decorations, drapes, bedding, etc. Maria was also an expert at and enjoyed making her own ricotta, ravioli, sausage, lamb, and other Sicilian specialties. She was devoted to her Catholic faith, and her love of God gave her the determination and self-drive to accomplish anything she put her mind to and stopped at nothing to provide for the safety and wellbeing of her family. She will be mourned and greatly missed by her loving children, grand and great-grandchildren, and by her friends.
