Marie Civita Scozzari

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Marie Scozzari, beloved wife, mother, grammy, and friend.

Marie was the backbone for her big blended family. A proud graduate of Long Island University and Colombia University. She dedicated her professional life to serving her communities’ most vulnerable populations through her roles in therapy, teaching, and administration. In her personal life, Marie shared her passion for animals, cooking, travel, and crafting with her family, friends and neighbors. Known for both her strong and protective mama bear sense and her soft, empathetic side, she was a welcoming presence to all who knew her.

She is survived by her doting husband Vic, daughter Christina, son-in-law Mark, grandson Alexander, daughter-in-law Jenn, and her step children Eric and Amy. Her family and friends will dearly miss her humor, guidance and light.

Services will be held at Bedell Pizzo funeral home on Thursday, April 30th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm, with a Funeral Mass held at Our Lady Help of Christians on Friday, May 1st at 10am.
