Marie Yurcik

Marie Yurcik, 91, passed away on December 10, 2021.  She was born Marie Quinn to Timothy Quinn and Barbara McDonald in Wallasey, England on June 22, 1930.  She grew up during the bombing of England during WW2. She emigrated to New York City, living in Manhattan while working in the banking industry on Wall Street.

She met her husband, Stephen Anthony Yurcik and they started their family in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. Together they raised their two children, Robert (Valerie) and Barbara after the young family moved to Staten Island living in homes in Graniteville and Huguenot.  After raising their children, Marie returned to work in the banking industry retiring from Manufacturers Hanover.

Marie enjoyed reading, knitting, crocheting, needlepoint, ceramics, and arts and crafts.

Marie is pre-deceased by her husband, Stephen Anthony in 1991.  She is survived by her children, Robert (Valerie) and Barbara and her grandchildren, Daniel, Lindsey, Allison and Kristin.
