Marion was born in Naples, Italy. She arrived in the USA via ship, when she was 4 years old, and settled in Brooklyn, New York.
She was the oldest of six children, all of whom passed before her.
Marion started doing “Homework” from the house at just 5 years old, as her tiny fingers worked away on piece work. She later attended Needle Point Trade High School. She then went on to work in a factory in Manhattan, and drove through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel on the first day it opened!
Marion married her beloved husband, Carlo, at the age of 21 years old and had 2 children and eventually 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Marion loved to cook, especially Sunday Gravy, as she entertained and fed many people throughout her lifetime. She hosted Holidays, while cooking and baking many different Italian delicacies to share with her family and friends.
During these years, Marion worked retail in neighborhood shops, before switching to Manhattan, where she worked for Lord & Taylor. Finally, Marion decided to try working in an office for the first time, where she was hired at AIG. She excelled there and learned quickly.
Marion was loved by all. Her prize possessions were her 5 beautiful grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Marion enjoyed trips to Atlantic City, and later on to The Sands Casino in PA. Slot machines were her favorite, as well as her scratch off tickets. Marion frequented walking to the Staten Island Mall where she spent many hours weekly. Her favorite places she frequented were Dunkin Donuts, Country Donuts, Walmart, The Atrium Movie Theatre, and her Hair Salon.
Marion truly loved going out to lunch with her sisters and or her many friends. Family was everything to her. At age 95, she will remain forever in the hearts of her family and friends, and be sorely missed!
