Maryann Alberta Eagle

Jun 6, 1951 — Aug 26, 2026

It is with profound sadness that we share the loss of Maryann Alberta Eagle, who passed away on August 26, 2026.

Born on June 6, 1951, Maryann was the daughter of Elizabeth and Fred Eagle, II.

Maryann was a Life-Long member of the community in Tottenville.

She spent the last few years of her life at Staten Island Care Center.

She loved crocheting (she made blankets/scarfs/clothes for friends & family), reading, watching tv (especially mystery shows and Jeopardy), gardening and doing word play books.

Maryann’s true passion was being the Family Historian for the Egnat/Kushner Clan. At any given time of day, you can ask her anything about the Egnat/Kushner Clan and she would be able to tell you who was who, where they were from, where they are now, etc. It’s a large family and she had all the information down pat! The pictures and letters she collected over the years is proof of such!

Maryann was a housekeeper for 29 years and retired in 1983. She volunteered at the local Thrift Store from 1980 to 1989.

Maryann was very involved in St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church Women’s Club, as well as Our Lady Help of Christians Rosary Altar Society.

Maryann was a true animal lover. Her cat Joy was her Pride & Joy.

Maryann was predeceased by her parents, her partner Donald Endresen and brother, Fred “Butchy” Eagle III, who passed away on July 28th, 2026.

Maryann is survived by her cousin and his wife John "Jack" (Barbara) Egnat of Staten Island, her sister-in-law Kathy in Florida, her nieces and nephew; Jackie, Kathy & William, as well as many other cousins on the Egnat/Kushner side of the family.
