Michael C. Maratta, born February 19, 1962, in Brooklyn, New York, passed away surrounded by the love of his family. He was the beloved son of the late Henry F. Maratta and Ann Rasso Maratta.

Michael was raised in the Huguenot area of Staten Island, New York, where he spent his formative years and built many cherished memories with friends. He proudly worked for the Port Authority for 17 years.

Michael was a true hands-on person who found joy in working with his hands. He loved working on his Harley-Davidsons and cars, and especially enjoyed woodworking and building things for his family. He also shared a special love of cooking and treasured the time spent preparing and sharing meals with those he loved.

Above all, Michael cherished his family. He took great pride and joy in spending time with his 10 grandchildren, creating memories that will remain in their hearts forever.

Michael was predeceased by his parents, Henry F. Maratta and Ann Rasso Maratta; his brother, Fredrick Maratta; his sister, Lilyann Maratta; and his beloved grandsons, Vincent Fougere & Matthew Duffy.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Aimee Maratta; his daughter, Brianna Maratta; his son, Michael Maratta Jr.; His three stepdaughters, Jennifer Romano, Nicole and Heather Gilchrist, along with his 10 grandchildren ( Gianna, Anastasia, Roman, Jimmy, Scarlett, Averie, Lyla & Gwen) and many other loving family members and friends.

Michael will be remembered for his love of family, his generous heart, his talent for building and creating, and the many memories he made with the people he loved. His presence will be deeply missed, but his love and memory will live on in his family forever.
