Nick Matera

September 20, 1945 — March 30, 2023

Nick Matera was a beloved husband, father and adoring grandfather who passed away on March 30, 2023. Nick is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Patricia, his daughter, Marie and his four grandchildren Patricia, John, Matthew and Annabella.

Nick was born and raised in Little Italy, NYC and eventually settled in Staten Island with his family in 1983. He was an avid Yankee fan, loyal New York Lottery player & Manhattan Special fanatic. Nick worked on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange until he retired in 2004.

Nick enjoyed his Sunday dinners with his family where he spent countless hours laughing and joking around. He was a dedicated family man, a hell of a guy and will be eternally missed by all.

Family and Friends may visit on Monday, April 3, 2023 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 7:00pm to 9:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady Help of Christians RC Church on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at 10:00 am. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
