Rosaria Catalano

Rosaria Catalano, born on July 5, 1939, in Italy, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2026, in Staten Island, New York. At the age of 86, Rosaria left behind a legacy of love, kindness, and dedication to her family and friends.

Rosaria was the beloved wife of Francesco Catalano, with whom she shared a lifetime of cherished memories. She was a devoted mother to her son Vincent Catalano and his wife Michelina Catalano, a proud Nonna to Francesca Catalano, and a loving aunt to her many nieces and nephews. Her family was the center of her world, and she took immense pride in nurturing and supporting them throughout her life.

A skilled seamstress by trade, Rosaria dedicated much of her life to perfecting her craft. Her work was not just a profession but an expression of care and creativity. Even after retiring, she continued to share her talent by lovingly mending and sewing garments for family and friends. Rosaria found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved tending to her garden, and creating a warm and welcoming home where love flourished and memories were made. She had a special gift for bringing people together through the meals she prepared with care and tradition, filling hearts as well as stomachs. Her hands were always busy creating something meaningful for those she held dear whether it be garments or a home made meal.

Those who knew Rosaria will remember her for her unwavering love, strength, generosity, and gentle spirit.

A Visitation will be held on March 17, 2026, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Bedell Pizzo Funeral Home 7447 Amboy Rd. Church services will be held at St. Joseph St. Thomas at 10:30 AM
