With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Rose Vastano, who left us peacefully on September 26, 2025, at the age of 87.

Born in Brooklyn, New York, on October 13, 1937, Rose lived a long and fulfilling life centered around family, love, and exploration. Throughout her life, she made her home in Brooklyn, Long Island, New Jersey, and Staten Island — always bringing warmth, laughter, and generosity wherever she went.

Rose was the proud and devoted mother of five children and the heart of a growing and loving family. She was blessed with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, each of whom she cherished deeply. Her love for them was fierce, unconditional, and ever-present. Whether celebrating milestones, offering advice, or simply spending time together, she was a constant and comforting presence in their lives.

She was also a beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews, forming close and lasting bonds across generations. Her family, both immediate and extended, was the center of her world.

Rose had a true traveler's spirit — frequently on the road, she found joy in visiting loved ones, discovering new places, and never letting distance diminish her connections. Her adventurous heart was matched only by her deep loyalty and love for her family.
