Shirley Jean Atlak, 87
Grandmother of four
Shirley Jean Atlak (nee Muller), 87, passed away on Nov. 8, 2017, at Staten Island University Hospital North, from complications of a stroke.
Shirley was a lifelong Staten Islander. She was a medical transcriptionist at Richmond Memorial Hospital, retiring in 1990. She attended Tottenville High school and Drake Business School.
Shirley was a member of the Tottenville Friendship Club and Tottenville AARP.
She enjoyed bowling, knitting, crocheting, traveling, and casinos.
She attended Bethel United Methodist Church.
Shirley is survived by her husband of 67 years, Edward Atlak Sr.; son, Edward Atlak Jr.; daughter, Jean Atlak-Ross, and four grandchildren.
Funeral service will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home. Friends may visit Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
