Sylvio Greco

Sylvio Greco, 85, of Voorhees, New Jersey, formerly of Brooklyn, New York passed away peacefully on November 18, 2023, in Voorhees, NJ. Born on August 1, 1938, in Brooklyn, NY, Sylvio's life was marked by his dedication to his family, his love for his community, and his unwavering kindness.

Sylvio spent his professional life in the banking industry, where he worked for over 20 years at Manufacturers Hanover Trust, retiring in 1997.

Sylvio was predeceased by his beloved wife of 42 years, Marie Greco; his son, Ralph Greco; his sisters, Aurora Scamardella, Elena Siano, and Bianca Guadagno; and his brother, Frank Greco. He is survived by his son, Peter Greco; his daughter-in-law, Christine Greco; his grandchildren, Matthew and Emma Greco; and many nieces and nephews. Sylvio's family was his pride and joy, and he cherished every moment spent with them.

Sylvio had a deep love for his grandchildren, and he enjoyed watching them grow up. His face would light up whenever he was in their company, and he was always eager to share stories and wisdom with them. Sylvio also enjoyed large family gatherings, where his quiet and reserved nature was complemented by his unique and slightly quirky sense of humor.

Growing up in Brooklyn, Sylvio developed a love for stickball, a passion that he carried throughout his life. He was also an avid New York Mets fan.

A viewing will be held from 9:30 am to 10:30 am, on Friday, November 24, 2023, at Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home, 7447 Amboy Rd, Staten Island, NY 10307.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am, at Our Lady Help of Christians Parish, 7396 Amboy Rd, Staten Island, NY 10307.  A burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Staten Island.
