Vanessa Marie Ruggirello, beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, godmother, aunt and cousin, passed at her home on January 25, 2023 at the age of 23. Vanessa is predeceased by her grandfather, John “Jack” Ruggirello; grandmother, Susan “Snookie” Ruggirello; and grandfather, John Lampitelli. She is survived by her parents, Stephen Ruggirello and Lisa Lampitelli; sister, Jessica Ruggirello, and her partner, Michael Nouvertne; nephews, Michael Richard Nouvertne and Stephen John Nouvertne; grandmother, Nancy Lampitelli; and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
Vanessa was born on February 12, 1999 on Staten Island, NY, where she grew up with her parents and sister. From a young age Vanessa’s personality lit up every room she walked into, a quality she kept until her last days. She will be remembered for her bright smile, contagious laugh and playful sense of humor. Always one to make a grand entrance, her presence was even grander. Vanessa enjoyed spending time with her family, especially at their house upstate near Lake George. No one could keep up with Vanessa as she rode her ATV through the woods. Free-spirited, Vanessa loved to travel and chase adventure. Everywhere she went she created memories and laughter for all. Vanessa had a generous heart and loved giving gifts to and spending time with her godson, Michael, and nephew, Stephen. They were the light and loves of her life, a love for which is everlasting.
Family and friends may pay their respects Sunday, January 29, 2023, at Bedell Pizzo Funeral Home, 7447 Amboy Road, Staten Island, NY 10307, between 2:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 6135 Amboy Road, Staten Island, NY 10309, on Monday, January 30, 2023, at 10:30 a.m.
