William R. Allan, 70, of Conway, S.C., passed away peacefully on July 24, 2017.
He was born on June 2, 1947, in Staten Island, to the late William H. and Barbara (Hydo) Allan.
Bill is survived by his wife of 45 years, Loretta; his children, William and Holly Allan, and Diane Allan and Noah Yunker; grandchildren, Hadley, Sydney, and Lucas, and his brother, Michael.
Bill was born and raised in Tottenville, graduating from Tottenville High School in 1965. Bill worked as a store manager for several retail chains including Korvettes, Caldor, K-Mart, and Genovese Drug Stores.
After retirement, Bill relocated to the Poconos in 2003, and Conway in 2015.
In his free time, Bill was passionate about cars, racing on local tracks in the late 1960s and early 1970s, and restoring two antique cars. He also coached for the South Shore Babe Ruth League during the same period. He was very handy around the home and loved gardening and fishing.
A celebration of Bill's life will be held at Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home, 7447 Amboy Rd., on Friday, Aug. 4, 2017, from 7 to 9 p.m., and Saturday, Aug. 5, 2017, from 2 to 4 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association via a memorial fund created in Bill's name.

Visitation: Memorial Visitation at Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home on Friday,August 4, 2017 from 7-9PM and Saturday, August 5, 2017 from 2-4PM

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, contributions in Bill's name to the American Heart Association via a memorial fund created in his name would be appreciated.
