Manhattan resident William H. Smith, 52, a plumber and former Staten Islander, died Monday at home.
Born in Eltingville and raised in Prince's Bay, he also lived in Annadale before settling in Manhattan several months ago.
He graduated from Tottenville High School in 1979 and then began his career as a self-employed plumber.
He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his son, especially at the park. Mr. Smith had enjoyed fishing since he was a teenager, and liked to fish at Great Kills Park.
He is survived by his father, William Jr.; his sister, Kathleen Sorensen, and his son, Nikolas.
The funeral will be Friday at noon in the Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home, Tottenville. Burial will be in Ocean View Cemetery, Oakwood.
